Nesting

Before

Nesting comes in phases. Todays phase will be named closets. I think I will document my phases for posterity. Some people find this amusing.

After

PS--this is only ONE shoe closet. There is another one upstairs.

Oldies but goodies

Oh yeah....they are brown and gold paisley.
They were made in the 1970's and I LOVE them.
I will be theming my basement around their goodness.

Sparklepire

Dub watched Twilight with me last night.

He then informed me he'd go see the next one with me on opening night.

I think I will make us matching tshirts to mark the occasion.
But what should they say?????

Baby update

So I went to my baby doc today. It was a delightful experience.
Mabes came with me and played on her DS the entire time. She was busy helping Mario save the princess.
So! Susie Quatro is up to 3lbs 5oz...I have gained 25. Mostly in my butt and my bra.
Thankfully I have not started to swell with too much water weight....but it's starting. I can't get my "gay wedding band" off.
We discussed possible dates for delivery of Baby Indiana. My official due date is June 1. Because they like to unzip my uterus, a due date is scheduled a week before. That puts it on Memorial Day. OB Kathy seemed unsure of surgeons availability on such a nice day for a bbq...so we are looking at May 26. That works for me because I like a Memorial Day BBQ as much as the next person. SO needless to say I will be expecting something grilled that day. It doesn't have to be burgers...I'm willing to think outside the box.
So that's the info I have thus far.
OH and one more thing....Baby Girl has hair.

And that's what we call "closure"

Bruce Willis is getting married again.
To a super model. Naturally.

Sorry Dub.

Snark-Snark.

Could I really do that?

In honor of the Twilight movie coming out...I have decided that the baby's name will be Renesme.

That's why my friends call me "whiskers"

My friend Eris is smart.
She is so smart, she was asked to speak at a smart people conference, with a bunch of other super smart people.
So we decided to make it a road trip.
We drove to Cedar city in the Dub-mobile. It was 5 hours of un-interrupted tv and movie quotes, awesome 80's music and oreo mint shakes.
We got lost in Spanish Fork....it's a stupid city anyways.
We got lost in Cedar city looking for a Walmart.
We stayed up late eating Easter candy and watching Big Bang Theory...and for those of you who are unfamiliar, it's great. I highly recommend it.

We woke up the next morning to find that our hotel had no hot water. This was delightful. When I wake up in the morning, I look like a yu-gi-oh character. Hair stright up in all directions. Not washing my hair is not an option. So while Eris tamed her curls with pins, I stuck my head under the cold tub faucet. It was just like camping.

Eris gave a very smart presentation. It was all about smart political things that normally make me go "bwah??" She even had illistrations. I could not have been more proud.

So thank-you to my friend Eris for letting me be a part of your big to-do. I had a lot of fun.
There are few times we get to spend sans-children these days, and even fewer people who understand the importance of a well-placed movie quote.

The Dub-mobile

No, it's not a mini van....It's our new Dodge Journey
Rows and rows of seating for our plethora of children.

Exceeds Expectations

It's review time at the old shoe store.
It's that time of year when I get to evaluate myself and my performance and hope my boss thinks the same...or better.
This kind of thing gives me anxiety.

A new obsession

Since Christmas, we have watched Mamma Mia at least once a day.
I love Abba...but this is a little much.
So to give my lovely girls some other musical to obsess over, we watched Phantom of the Opera together.
Success!!
They have new songs to learn.
This works for me too because the Phantom is a fox.
